Hyper-Ironic T-ShirtsFriends, I have seen the future of hipster fashion. Yes, the ironic t-shirt has dominated the hip music nerd community for several years now. But it will not be long before the irony trend is replaced by...wait for it...
Hyper irony.
It looks as though the shirts ought to be a reference to something, but they aren't. It looks like you should understand what they mean, but they don't mean anything.
Behold the meta-ness.

You should sell the second to last one to Eric Clapton.

Of all the sentiments on these, that one's the most honest of the bunch for me, honestly. If these shirts existed, I would actually pay money for that one.

Very nice. I particularly enjoy "Oh crap, we better feed the dog."
On the same note, you may enjoy that the below blogger takes the time to "unravel" the intricacies of ironic t-shirts in the most literal way possible. Joke or not, you decide.

Ohhhhh--how about a really fat black kid under the golden arches saying "MMMMMcFattening!"
or
"Sho is Good!"

I love the OLD BLACK MAN one. I would totally wear that one. Because I couldn't be farther from an OLD BLACK MAN. We need a t-shirt that says, "I wish I was a short, fat, British kid with a Monkee-cut that wishes he was an OLD BLACK MAN."

I would totally buy that cartwheel one. But I have a reason for it.
